Company Profile

Acquazzurra operates as a barter, namely as advertising space sales agency for high standing advertisers, to allow them to invest in communication through local and national campaigns.

The peculiarity of the business model lies in the method of payment used by the advertising companies: in exchange for its service, Acquazzurra receives goods or quality services (“barter”) which in turn are sold to retail customers or national and international professional buyers (wholesalers), always respecting the positioning agreed with the advertising companies. 

Acquazzurra leverages both its great experience, acquired in more than 15 years of activity in bartering, and its deep knowledge of the national advertising market. This knowledge derives from solid collaborations with the most important operators in media and advertising, which in turn benefit from additional revenue generated by the bartering activity promoted by Acquazzurra. 

The customers of Acquazzurra are high-profile companies which operate in different sectors: in fact, the Group has active historical partnerships with important companies of furniture, life-style, automotive, food & wine and technology. 

The presence of the Group in diversified sectors allows not to be subject to the specific trend of each of them and to modulate investments on the basis of their performances.

Bartering

Bartering is a system that makes possible to purchase advertising space or other goods and services by providing products in exchange, instead of cash.

  1. The advertiser decides on which means to invest their budget.
  2. Acquazzurra buys the adv spaces decided by the customer and invoices the spaces at the agreed price.
  3. The company invoices the goods agreed with Acquazzurra as compensation. The two invoices being of the same amount, they offset each other.
  4. Acquazzurra then pays the publishers directly and will sell the goods only through Aclub or through opportunities previously agreed with the advertiser.

Acquazzurra S.r.l. is founded

2007

Acquazzurra moves to the current headquarters in Via Rutilia 10/8 in Milan. Sales area is 600 m2

2010-2012

New customers: Sharp, Tom Tom, Toshiba and Nintendo. Increase in sales abroad, especially in Spain and Germany

2017

Turnover reaches € 19.7m

2019

R10 launches, an innovative showroom in the design- architecture sector (sales area 600 m2)

Acquisition of 100% and merger by incorporation of Trait d’Union, a barter company operating in the automotive and consumer electronics sectors

2020

Prompt reaction to Covid- 19: opening of the new e- commerce channel with positive commercial feedback

2021

On 13 May 2021 Acquazzurra is listed on the AIM Italia market - Professional Segment of the Italian Stock Exchange
